๐Join Us Today Friday May 29th at 6:00 ๐ At ๐The Hidden Door๐ธ Pride Corpus Christi welcomes Brigitte Bandit ๐ for ๐LegiSLAYtion & Liberationโ๏ธ, a candid conversation on Texas SB12, the so-called โdrag banโ recently revived by a federal appeals court, and what it means for performers, venues, and LGBTQ+ Texans. ๐ฅ๐ง๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ช Brigitte is the lead plaintiff in the ACLU of Texasโs lawsuit against SB12, a City of Austin LGBTQ+ Quality of Life Commissioner, and the first drag performer to address the Texas Democratic Convention. Her 2023 testimony went viral worldwide, with one image named to Timeโs Top 100 Photos of the Year. ๐ฅ๐ง๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ช Sheโs been touring Texas to meet communities where they are and this Friday, South Texas is on the route.
